About Me

Personal Bio

My name is Raksha. I am a qualified person centred counsellor and a registered member of the BACP (British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists).

I am a fully insured therapist and hold a current enhanced DBS. I have regular monthly supervision, which is essential as a counsellor to ensure that I am working safely and effectively with my clients. Counselling is a talking therapy. It is all about you and my main focus is you and what your needs are.

I also have extensive experience working with a broad range of issues in a variety of settings which include working with adults supporting them with emotions of rape, trauma, including sexual abuse and historical sexual abuse, domestic violence and post-traumatic stress and other complex issues.

I am passionate about the work that I do, to connect with my clients. I will provide you with support and understanding to help you through your feelings, issues, fears, difficulties, choices and opportunity by allowing you to talk confidentially and be heard and listened to without being judged.

Thereby enabling you to understand your feelings which may be causing you distress and by giving you greater self-awareness and sense of empowerment, leading you to make more meaningful changes in your life.
